Islam and the Environment

June 24, 2008

“O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: but waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters.”

Quran 7:31

I found this two-part Khutbah by Sheikh Zia ul-Haque on the environment and the importance of safeguarding it. He ties in the Hadith and Qur’an and discusses consumerism, trees, water, the atmosphere, etc. It basically touches on a lot…very good.

Check it out!
